Like so many libraries back in March, we pivoted to provide virtual programming, including live and pre-recorded storytimes. As the months wore on, though, we wanted to offer something new AND empower our families to read, sing, play, talk, and write together without waiting for the next video or Zoom session. Thus, Storytime-to-Go was born!

2020 Teens' Top Ten Announced
The official titles of YALSA's 2020 Teens' Top Ten<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/teenstopten> have been announced. Voting by teens began in in mid-August and ended mid-October. View<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/teenstopten> and download the full list with annotations on the Teens' Top Ten webpage<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/teenstopten>. Teens aged 12-18 can nominate their favorite titles to be considered as a 2021 Teens' Top Ten nominee via the public nomination form<http://www.ala.org/yalsa/public-nomination-form> by Dec. 31. For books to be eligible for consideration for 2021, they must be published between Jan. 1- Dec. 31, 2020. Since the start of the year, YALSA's Teens' Top Ten book groups, which are made up of teen book groups from libraries across the U.S., have been reading advanced reading copies and nominating titles.

It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.

The "Tails & Tales" 2021 CSLP Manual is now live! However, we have only purchased 1 access code per library, so an email went out on 9/25/20, directly to all library directors, with the code (we will not be snail mailing it this year, only email). If you are the summer library program coordinator at your library, please look for a forwarded message from your director or message me directly with an official work email for a copy of your code.  Manuals, graphics and more are available for download, printing, or you can continue to access it online through the library account. Please do not share the manual outside your library.
