We have some training programs that may be of interest to library staff.

February 5 TODAY! - Resources for Wellbeing: Toolkit Tour for Rural & Small Libraries - This webinar will introduce tools for helping libraries improve social wellbeing in their communities, created from the Rural Library Service & Social Wellbeing Project. This webinar is from WebJunction and is scheduled for 2pm ET. Visit https://www.webjunction.org/events/webjunction/resources-for-wellbeing.html to register. WebJunction provides recordings after the program.

February 8 - RELAX - Recognizing Anger Signals - RELAX: Alternatives to Anger explores how individuals handle their anger and stress affects the people around them. Participants increase their knowledge about anger issues and put anger management and healthy relationship skills into practice. Participants learn what anger is and what triggers anger.

February 10 - Big Programs, Little Budget: Forging Community Partnerships in a Small Town - Drawing on her experience as director of the Meservey Public Library, Chelsea Price will share ideas for hosting "big" programs on a small budget and discuss how partnerships can be an invaluable resource for programming.

February 11 - LSTA Public Library Services Grant Application Webinar - The Library of Michigan's Public Library Service grant program for 2021 is open. This webinar will provide an overview of the grant priorities, the application questions, process and timeline. The webinar will include a presentation and a Q & A period.

February 17 - Millage Law for Libraries - Library Law Attorney Anne Seurynck provides an overview of the Library millage process from a legal perspective. Participants will learn the dos and don'ts of ballots and campaigning in Michigan.

February 17 - Best Children's Books of 2020 - In this fun, interactive, and inherently socially distanced webinar, Jill Burket Ragase and Amy Schardein will present their must have/favorite board book, picture book, and nonfiction titles, published in 2020.

Our regularly scheduled webinar on the Uniform Chart of Accounts has been rescheduled to March 2. If you registered you don't need to do anything to update your attendance. Emails will go out closer to the date with details.

We are moving into a cold and snowy February. Stay safe and warm!

These projects were made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
