Block Play: Building a Foundation of Early Learning in the Library<https://continuinged.isl.in.gov/block-play-building-a-foundation-of-early-learning-in-the-library-1-leu/>
Recording (2018) from the Indiana State Library
Talk! Sing! Read! Write! Play, especially with blocks! Play is an integral component of the development of young children, which is increasingly reflected in libraries through their design and programming. During this webinar you will learn why block play is so powerful, how staff at Allen County Public Library tackled the challenge of adding more play-specifically block play-to their program offerings, and how to adapt their initiative for libraries big and small.

Summer Library Programming
The CSLP annual end-of-summer survey is now open. Your input on this survey is vital to the future of this program (you do not have to be using the CSLP theme to participate). Please complete the survey by Friday, September 17, 2021. The survey can be found here: https://forms.gle/qPLPy8p1YKYzakKA8<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2FqPLPy8p1YKYzakKA8&data=04%7C01%7Clancasterc5%40michigan.gov%7C11592715be50420d7e4608d94560b9d0%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C637617104583015273%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C2000&sdata=sozi5go1eAOCJjX2EAEBqt3%2BDwmlGPl8yo5lzgVpgIQ%3D&reserved=0>.
The audience for the survey is public library staff who played an active role in administering or running 2021 summer library programming. Multiple library staff from the same library should complete the sections of the survey most relevant to their work; e.g. children, teen, or adult programs. Please contact me with any questions.
