*Preferred Qualifications:*

-----Experience designing and maintaining library websites. Expert HTML
skills and demonstrated ability to create library web functionality.

*Job Specific Required Qualifications:*

-----Master’s degree in Information or Library Science from a
university program
accredited by the American Library Association.
-----Demonstrates expertise with information technology, including research
databases, LibGuides, discovery systems, library information systems,
institutional repository systems, and learning management systems.
-----Ability to provide research assistance and instruction to faculty,
staff and students on the use of library resources.
-----Conduct information and digital literacy instruction and orientation
to the library.
-----Staff the Questions Desk, providing research assistance to library
users.
-----Experience in chat and email research services. Demonstrates expertise
in a scientific and technical subject area.
-----Serve as a Library Liaison to a specific School or College,
facilitating collection building, library instruction and LibGuide
development. Knowledge of collection development principles.
-----Demonstrated experience utilizing strong human relations skills as
well as analytical and conceptual skills.
-----Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication
skills. Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work independently as
well as in a team environment where consultation, collaboration, and
cooperation are essential.
-----Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
-----Understand and have a commitment to Kettering University Values
