[Michlib-l] Death of Lincoln reenactor, Fred Priebe

Our state has lost a wonderful resource who will be remembered by many 
libraries, museums, and historical societies.  In the midst of all the 
attention and shutting down caused by Covid, Lincoln reenactor, Fred Priebe 
earlier this month ended a two year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Some 
will also remember his former late wife, Bonnie, who did an admirable job 
performing as Mary Todd Lincoln.  Both were excellent and were in earlier 
Michigan Arts and Humanities directories and, I believe, in earlier 
editions of the Historical Society of Michigan directory for storytellers, 
speakers, and performers.
  
 His memorial service will be at 10 a.m. with a reception time and the 
actual memorial at 11 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3003 Hannan Road, 
Wayne, MI 48184.
  
 After the death of Bonnie, Fred remarried.  If you are unable to attend 
the service and wish to send condolences please contact either the church 
or me for further information.
