[Michlib-l] MeL Minute: Getting to Know Your eResources: Read It!

The content in Read It! covers History, Civics, & Culture, Life Skills, Literature, and Science. Articles are supplemented by curated content to enhance topic knowledge and understanding. All material is designed to support English-language reading proficiency and comprehension as well as general literacy, research, note taking and academic writing. Also available is the capability to translate text into over 35 different languages.

Comprehension Quizzes
At the end of each article is a simple comprehension quiz that can help both students and educators gauge understanding. Listening
The Listen tool available in Read It! (and other EBSCO eResources) has recently been updated and offers several tools for accessibility: highlighting of the text, page masking, text to speech with 3 accents, male and female voices, audio download, and enlarged font. This feature also gives users the ability to listen to text at various speeds.
