One of the most challenging parts of a library director's job is personnel. Employment handbooks, ADA issues, COVID-19 & MiOSHA concerns, board roles, and, what exactly does "At Will" mean? This session will review 5 personnel scenarios common to libraries of all types and provide information and strategies for managing them in your workplace.

After attending, participants will be able to:

  *   Identify strategies for managing some common library personnel issues
  *   Describe responsibilities of Michigan employers under MiOSHA standards
  *   Define "At Will" and how it applies to public library employees
