Oceans of Possibilities
Reminder from Zahraa at the Detroit Zoo that they need some feedback from folks who used their materials/trainings to conduct programs this summer. Your best estimate is much appreciated in this as they use it to track the impact of their partnerships and continue to offer trainings such as the one you attended this winter. The survey is real brief!

Here's the webinar if you need a refresher on which one! Oceans of Possibilities with Zahrra Aljebori of Detroit Zoological Society<https://youtu.be/lVH5I43c_1Y> (Recorded 2/15/22)

CSLP's Store<https://shop.cslpreads.org/> will be closing soon to transition to 2023's "All Together Now!" products. Manuals with programming ideas will be out late September/early October, and the CSLP Summer Symposium will be held in early December. Saw so many great photos of #OceansOfPossibilities programming - looks like it was an awesome summer.

VRtality<https://www.vrtality.org/>
The Seattle Public Library, the D.C. Public Library, and the Fayette Public Library Museum and Archives (in LaGrange, TX) invites you to learn about their innovative work to support teen mental health through co-design and VR. The project, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, gives teens the chance to build positive mental health practices and bring those to the design and development of mental health-based VR experiences.
You can get started learning about the project on its website, VRtality<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fvrtality.org%2F&data=05%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7Ca0b21c98a601490664f308da6ea30cb3%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C637943943811901979%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=Q8k%2F4%2BzimTelse7HZBepVJ32e2AM4CBU5NUbqpWQ1Xk%3D&reserved=0> - http://vrtality.org<http://vrtality.org/>. The site gives you access to information on the initiative's background, program plans, and co-design session templates. The VRtality site also includes interactive components so you can build and customize your own roadmap for a mental health co-design project. You can also download the VR experiences designed by teens as a part of their VRtality participation.
Coming Soon: Videos and Q&A Zoom Session
The project team is getting ready to post a series of videos about all aspects of the initiative on the website. Posting of project videos will be followed by a live Zoom Q&A session on August 18 at 2PM Eastern/1PM Central/Noon Mountain/11AM Pacific. During the Zoom you can ask questions of those who implemented VRtality co-design activities and find out how to bring a similar initiative to your community.
Register for the LIVE Zoom Q&A session with this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMvf-6rrT4jGtPHYv1IiZxn0Zof9N5aV2QS.

>From MDHHS for Teens & their families:
The Michigan Stay Well program presents a workshop series for teenagers.
Four Tuesday sessions from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Stay Well Mental Health for Teens
Four in 10 teenagers report they feel "persistently sad or hopeless," according to a recent CDC survey. Our workshop series for teens can help young people struggling with these kinds of feelings.
The online workshops are geared toward helping teens understand the causes and consequences of emotions. Participants will learn how to turn off self-judgement, manage relationships better and regulate their ups and downs-with the goal of finding more meaning and purpose in life. To participate, all you need is an internet connection to Zoom, paper and pencil and an open mind.
All sessions are free.
