In today's political climate, talking about issues related to racial justice is difficult. Given the uptick of reported incidents of racism that students of color are experiencing in schools, alongside recent developments with state laws, educational policies and instructional practices connected to anti-racism and equity, Drs. Detra Dennis-Price and Grace Enriquez as they discuss children's literature that supports racial literacy development. This webinar has been rescheduled to early fall (date TBA). A $1000 Travel Stipend will be awarded to a Library Worker and another $1000 Travel Stipend will be awarded to a current student. The deadline for applications is Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 7 pm.

Other findings include 34 tips which involved the confiscation of weapons and 86 tips that resulted in the seizure of drugs or alcohol.
