Program Description: Often called "meditation in motion" and "moving yoga," tai chi is an ancient Chinese movement practice that has tremendous health benefits for older adults, including improved balance, stability, flexibility, muscle control, and more. Join instructors Annette Ogger and Ted Ferman from the Michigan Tai Chi Association as they discuss what tai chi is, its origins, and the specific health benefits of tai chi for older adults (ages 60+). There will be an interactive component where you'll get to try out some basic tai chi movements, so please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes! No previous tai chi experience required.

Best,
Anna
