I am very excited to be moderating a virtual panel on behalf of the ALA CSK Book Awards Program Standing Committee.  It is a free program and you do not have to be an ALA member but you do need to register for the event.  The link and information on the program our below. Description:  Do not miss what is sure to be a riveting in-depth panel discussion on the events at the heart of the  2022 Coretta Scott King Award Winner for both Author and Illustrator Unspeakable: The Tulsa Race Massacre written by Carole Boston Weatherford with Illustrations by Floyd Cooper.   We are fortunate to have an immensely talented and knowledgeable panel to enlighten us on both the historical and artistic content of this emotionally powerful piece of nonfiction.   The panelists are multi award winning author Carole Boston Weathford, Larissa McNeil the Coordinator for the Tulsa City-County Library's African American Resource Center, and Laura Raphael ,the Children's Services Coordinator for all 24 Tulsa City-County Library locations.
