Collaborative Summer Library Program
Have you ever thought about where our Collaborative Summer Library Program's (CSLP) themes and slogans come from? Who thinks them up? How does CSLP select each year's slogan? Well, the answer is YOU!
Each year CSLP seeks feedback from Michigan library staff for future summer slogan and theme suggestions. Libraries from across the nation contribute too and together we come to consensus. So now is your time to SHINE! Please complete this brief survey<https://forms.gle/o6YBhe8NzFBLzW7B8> to suggest a Slogan for the 2026 theme of Dinosaurs, (artist: Kaylani Juanita http://kaylanijuanita.com) and a fresh, new Theme for 2027.
For a list of previous theme and slogans go to: https://www.cslpreads.org/themes-and-slogans/. Please share your suggestions via this form<https://forms.gle/o6YBhe8NzFBLzW7B8> by Friday, February 24th. Michigan's top picks will be submitted to CSLP to compile with other suggestions from across the country.

CSLP's Social Media Toolkit is out to help you schedule social media posts on your library's social networks by offering you pre-written posts and the artwork found in our 2023 Social Media Toolkit<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hVlRjpRlKjJHYfFATtTE21sl-KxuSv9Q?usp=sharing>.
This toolkit for CSLP member libraries only, so please do not share the link with those outside your library.
This is a living document, so we will be updating sections throughout the coming year - be sure to bookmark this document and return for updated campaign post ideas! Feel free to like and share from any of the @CSLPreads platforms at any time:

Designing Family-focused Outreach that Centers Community Voices
Interested in increasing your social justice efforts in your outreach programs and services with children and families in underserved communities? Looking for ways to develop meaningful and relevant planning and assessment strategies that center your communities? Help us test our OCLC WebJunction course, "Designing Family-focused Outreach that Centers Community Voices." This course is based on a research study, Project VOICE, that uses the social justice principles of equity, empowerment, and engagement to guide the development of value-informed outcomes for planning and assessing outreach programs and services with children and families.
As a part of the testing, you will be asked to work through the various sections of the course, including activities that should be completed with community members and partners. During the testing you will be asked to provide us with feedback on your experiences with the course content and activities. We estimate a time commitment of forty hours to complete the course, spread over two months, and we are offering a $250 gift card upon completion. Most of the time commitment will be part of normal partnership/program planning efforts. Testing will take place during March and April 2023.
Please contact us at voiceimls at gmail.com<mailto:voiceimls at gmail.com> if you are interested and with any questions.
