STAR Net is also offering 2 workshops in Michigan for public library staff!
SEAL: Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries with STAR Net
These SEAL workshops will prepare and empower public library staff to facilitate meaningful solar and space science programs for their patrons that build curiosity, knowledge and inspiration. Attendees will receive hands-on training on operating solar telescopes and other methods for direct and indirect solar viewing, best practices for developing and facilitating STEM programs, and how to engage with community partners and library-specific digital resource networks. Attendees will also be able to sign up for free solar eclipse glasses to distribute to their communities in advance of both eclipses! STAR Net facilitators, bringing many years of experience building the STEM capacity of public library staff, will work with each state library to customize the workshop experience based on the needs and interests of public libraries within that state.
Space is extremely limited, so register now for these FREE workshops with STAR Net:

When it comes to teen outreach services, underserved communities provide a variety of challenges. You can't serve them if you can't identify them, and this eCourse begins by providing a clear foundation for defining and identifying underserved teens in your community.
Jessica Snow, author of Outreach Services for Teens: A Starter Guide (ALA Editions, 2020),<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fala.informz.net%2Fz%2FcjUucD9taT0xMDk2MTk5OCZwPTEmdT0xMDA3NDQ5NTMxJmxpPTEwMDI2Nzc1Mw%2Findex.html&data=05%7C01%7Clancasterc5%40michigan.gov%7C102eb4672b1a4b91f07b08db15146ff9%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C638126949746079098%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=MwGPtYTmjdhsZNj8q0Y6AiX83lMRasF9k3oLbNDvNZA%3D&reserved=0> will guide you through teen outreach in the real world.
