While YALSA leadership is exploring the future possibilities for an in-person Symposium, there will be no YALSA Symposium in fall 2024. The YALSA board and staff will continue discussing details related to future YALSA in-person and virtual opportunities.

We know that many of you look forward to attending an in-person event dedicated to sharing effective practices for teen services and networking with other teen services professionals. If you had anticipated attending the YALSA Symposium this fall, we invite you to consider attending other virtual or in-person ALA youth division-hosted education opportunities that will be coming over the next several months. We will share opportunities as they become available. In libraries, staff often face added unique challenges that contribute to workplace pressure and make the need for supporting employees even more pressing. The Collaborative Summer Library Program's (CSLP) annual survey is now open and will close Friday, September 13, 2024.
CSLP has created a survey so they can better assess the usefulness of the materials offered by the program on a national level to better serve you, the CSLP membership! All public libraries in Michigan are CSLP members thanks to the Library of Michigan with support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
