POSITION: Library Aide – Part Time (20 hours per week). Primarily
Monday-Thursday afternoons. May include occasional evening and weekend
hours (Saturday/Sunday).

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree; public library experience; strong
interpersonal/communication skills; demonstrated competency with
information technology including digital resources, online catalogs, the
Internet, social media sites, mobile devices; commitment to public service;
regularly reads and has knowledge of current and popular authors; monitors
mainstream and professional media.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists patrons with study room usage; provides
reference, reader’s advisory, and technology assistance at public service
desks; provides instruction and support for patron’s use of eMedia
resources and devices; serves on library committees; other duties as
assigned.

HOURLY RATE: $16.97 - $21.50 per hour, depending on qualifications
