You may be asking yourself, "What is user experience design and
research? And where do I get started?" This webinar can help you answer
both of those questions.

Using real world examples, "User Experience Research 101", which will
take place Wed., August 7, 2:00-3:30p.m. Central, will introduce the
concept of user experience, research planning, and practical research
methods--including focus groups, web analytics, participatory design and
interaction design--to librarians who may not have formal training in
user experience research.

Who Should Attend: This webinar is focused on reference librarians who
are interested in using usability and user experience methods to improve
services at their libraries; this includes both librarians and staff who
manage their libraries' virtual presence (web sites, mobile apps or CMS)
as well as librarians and staff interested in improving cross channel
user experience.

More detailed information about this webinar's content and learning
objectives is at the RUSA website:
http://www.ala.org/rusa/user-experience-research-101

This webinar will be followed up with a second webinar, "How to Conduct
Usability Studies: A Librarian Primer", scheduled for Sept. 4. More
information here:

Registration for "User Experience Research 101" starts at $40 for RUSA
members. Group rates are available, and there's also 15% savings
available when you register for both this webinar and "How to Conduct
Usability Studies." Pricing details and more registration info can be
