[Michlib-l] Library Building: Leased or Owned

Dear Colleagues, 
I want find out if your community leases or owns your library building? Are there advantages or disadvantages for either in your experience? 
Our Library Board is looking into building or purchasing an existing building but the Township Board is thwarting all our efforts and would prefer us to lease.
