Good Morning! We are looking to add a Young Adult Specialist to our Youth Services Department. If you or someone you know is looking for a part-time position (8-12 hours/week) and loves to work with teens, this would be a great opportunity to work at a beautiful new facility with some really great people😊 Hours are flexible but will include some evening and weekend hours. Young Adult Specialist (8-12 hours/week)
* Provides friendly, prompt, and courteous service to all users; creates an environment that attracts
and invites young adults to use the collection
* Adopts a community engagement mindset and develops and maintains effective relations with
schools and community groups that focus on young adults in order to plan and deliver programs
and services that meet the needs and interests of local young adults
* Develops and conducts programming for young adults, including afterschool programs
* Assists Head of Youth Services in building and maintaining Young Adult collection
* Provides reader’s advisory services to young adults and families
* Maintains Teen Game Room
* Involves young adults in planning and implementing services for their age group
* Prepares materials and displays to publicize services, resources, and programming for young adults
* Maintains knowledge of the ILS and circulation procedures and assists with circulation and technical
services tasks as needed
